Another look at World Baby Foods

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Good news! We've found an agreeable variety from World Baby Foods. It's called Sweetie Tahiti, and is made up of bananas, rice, pears and coconut.

Unfortunately for mommy (and the carpet), Camden much prefers Sweetie Tahiti when he's allowed to take charge of the spoon.

But that's ok... because I'll just have the maid clean it up!

Oh. Wait. We don't have one of those. Darnit.

Did you notice the Baby Dipper Bowl in action? It really is a useful little bowl.

I'm giving everyone ONE last chance... so if you haven't entered, go now! quick!! I'll draw the winner today at noon. (My time, which is Pacific Time.)

In case I confused anyone...

Hubbs pointed out this morning that my giveaway rules might be a bit confusing. Each of the four "to do's" will earn you ONE entry to the giveaway. You don't have to complete all four.

So. Grab the button and leave a comment? You've got one entry. Write a blog post? That's your second entry... and so on, and so forth.

Review: Baby Dipper Bowl & Spoon--GIVEAWAY CLOSED

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I was recently given the opportunity to try a fun new product... The Baby Dipper Bowl & Spoon, created by Barbara Schantz, a busy mother of four. Yep, you read that correctly... four! and the little sweeties came in the form of twins... twice!

Anyway... the Baby Dipper is a triangular shaped bowl, designed to simplify one-handed feeding of infants AND to help toddlers as they learn to self-feed.

When this product arrived in the mail, I was so eager to take a look at it that I had the box and packaging open before Ryan even pulled in to the driveway! Upon first impression, I was delighted. The bowl is heavy and features a non-slip grip around the bottom edge. The spoon has a curved handle, making it easier to keep a grip on when eager Mr. Camden wants to 'help' at meal time, and it is also smooth enough not to hurt his tender gums.

With the bowl clean and ready for use (hand-washing is advisable to maintain the integrity of the rubber grip around the bottom), we set out to sample a breakfast of oatmeal and pears. As the website suggests, the contoured interior of the bowl helped to guide the food to the bottom 'corner' of the bowl, making it much easier for me to feed Camden with one hand. (My other hand is usually busy wrangling ten tiny fingers. He likes to put them IN his mouth with his food, which causes a *big* mess!) That contoured interior, combined with the non-slip grip sure does make my life easier! As an added bonus, there was hardly any food waste because it all 'slipped' to that bottom corner.

I'm tempted to buy another bowl to keep in the diaper bag... mama's, you'll agree, it's hard enough to feed baby on your lap when a high-chair isn't available. Right? Right. A bowl that won't slide around? I'll take one! or five! This bowl is by far my new favorite baby product. It's been used for every meal since it arrived, while our other bowls sit untouched!

If I could have one wish, I think it might be that the bowl hold just a touch more than four ounces. Granted, I'm new to this parenting thing and even more new to feeding time that involves something other than milk. Perhaps I'll learn that we don't really need more than a four ounce capacity.

Overall? The bowl is lead-free and phthalate-free, shatter-proof, easy to clean, functional and cute! I love it! So what are you waiting for?? Go buy one!

...but wait! (do I sound like an infomercial?) Before you buy, enter to win!! Yippee! a giveaway! Barbara has graciously offered to send a bowl and spoon set to one of my *lucky* readers!!

You can enter to win up to FOUR times... pick and choose from the following four 'tasks,' do one, do them all... it's up to you! Please be sure to leave a separate comment for each entry.

1. Visit the Baby Dipper site and leave a comment telling me something you learned by reading from the FAQ's page.

2. Become a follower of Peanut's Page and leave a second comment letting me know.

3. Post about this giveaway on your blog and leave a third comment. Make sure you include a link to your post so I can check it out.

4. Add the Peanut's Page button (over there to the right... see it??) to your blog and leave a fourth comment. Make sure you leave a link so I can take a peek!

The giveaway starts *now* and a winner will be chosen using random.org on Friday, May 15th.

If you do not have a blogger/google account, please leave your NAME and your E-MAIL address in your comment(s). Anonymous comments that do not contain this information will be deleted. I will also delete duplicate comments and comments that do not fit the entry criteria prior to generating the random winner. If you are the winner, it is your responsibility to contact me. If you do not contact me within three days of my announcement, I will draw a new winner. That means you need to check back on Friday if you've entered to win!

Good luck!!
