Coupon Queenie is Baaaack!!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I've been pretty bad about using coupons lately with all of the work we've been doing. It takes time every week to plan, clip, sort and do the shopping. I'm back though!! We went to Walgreens today, and I'm pretty darned impressed with myself, thankyouverymuch!

We came home with... five Campbell's cream soups, two Lindt chocolate bars, two boxes of Walgreen's brand kleenex, a 20-count box of NyQuil and a 20-count box of Day Quil, two Herbal Essences hair products, two Dove deodorants, Aussie shampoo and conditioner (one each), three bars of Dove soap, two Aquafresh toothbrushes, and a box of Always girlie-items.

My before-coupon total was $58-something, though I'm not sure what exactly. I had to ask Ryan, because preggo-brain here failed to pay better attention. (P.S., DON'T do that when you're couponing. Always pay attention!) After coupons, my total came to $34.24. I used $11.63 from a Walgreen's gift card (last month's Easy Saver Rebate!), leaving me with $22.61 charged to my debit card. At the end of the transaction, $8 in Register Rewards printed, so if I deduct those from my total (since I can use them on my next trip to Walgreen's), I 'spent' $14.61!

Not bad, considering the NyQuil and DayQuil would've cost me around $16 to purchase at regular price!!

Great job! I have been SO bad about coupons too. I need to get back on the bandwagon. Thanks for the inspiration :-)

Good for you! Since I haven't been in town I haven't had my Walgreen's fix yet this week... I may just copy your list!

Yaay!! Thanks girls! I'm sure glad I'm not the only one who gets so darned excited over coupons.

Have I mentioned I've got my mom clippin' and stock piling now too??
