Months and months ago, sitting in the waiting room at my OB's office, I spied a new product in the back of a pregnancy magazine.
Dr. Bloom's Chewable Jewels. I even nudged Ryan and had him take a peek. I can remember because he rolled his eyes at me. and groaned. because I love looking at baby products. he does not.
I was interested, but didn't pursue the jewels right away.
Fast forward a few months. Camden launched us into the world of teething without much warning, and boy, what a shocker that was! I mean, I knew it was coming, but good grief! So when we had the chance to take these fun little gems for a test-chew, I was pretty excited.
Because I have no self control, I ripped the package open and had the necklace and bracelet out and the bracelet around my wrist before Ryan even realized what was going on. I was instantly impressed by the smooth texture, the absence of any rough or sharp edges (or corners), and by the fun, bright pink color! The cord on the necklace is great too--it's got a bit of stretch and feels comfortable around my neck.
A quick wash and Camden was ready to chew. His favorite is the bracelet, because it's so easy for him to grasp in both hands and to manipulate. Little kids don't always have good aim when it comes to getting things to their mouths, ya know? He also really likes the necklace--and it's so convenient, too! I slip it on at the start of the day, and he's free to play with it, chew on it, or whatever he wants when I'm holding him. I'd much rather he play with this necklace than my others.
Some other note-worthy features... they're dishwasher safe, dentist-created and recommended, do not contain BPA, PVC, Latex, Lead or Phthalates, and there are a *ton* of color choices, shapes, designs, and products!
