Eight Days

That's how long it has been since my last post here.

...and really? I don't even have a good reason.

It certainly isn't for lack of trying. I open my blogger account, I click the options that get me to a fresh, blank slate...

...and then nothing.

I tap my fingers on the keys, I think, trying to recall something funny or at least mildly entertaining.

And then in a fit of frustration, I give up. I close the window, shut my laptop and walk away.

It's as if my mind has been sucked completely dry by... well? a mind-sucker. A big, lumpy, hairy one. And again, if we're being honest, I often find that I just don't feel like I have anything worth sharing. Who wants to see *another* photo of my blue-eyed baby as we run through the motions of our day? Because sometimes I feel as though that's all I've got to contribute.

All this to say that I haven't gone anywhere. I haven't left Peanut's Page for greener pastures. I'm here, just feeling briefly contemplative. And quiet. Really, really quiet.

Keep with me, will you? While I collect my thoughts and try to get the ball rolling again.

I've got some ideas up my sleeve... a challenge to make some positive, 'green' changes to our lifestyle, some self-imposed changes for the new year for our little family, and the continuing saga of my photography habit. Oh--and more on my serious obsession with toys. Of the vintage, handmade, and wooden variety. Because they're so much more fun than what's available at Target!

I always love seeing new pictures of your little guy. Besides, it's nice for you to do so so that you can look back years from now and see what he was up to on an ordinary Wednesday afternoon.

I've missed seeing a new post from you...keep it up...you do a great job!

Happy New Year!

Don't worry about it... no need to stress about your lack of blogging.

I get in "ruts" like that... and it stressed me out. But then I figured that I should really only post about things worth posting about (and sometimes that is just pictures of my adorable son).

Either way... it's all good.

Happy New Year!

Thanks for the reassurance Veronnica AND Melissa! I truly do appreciate it. I'm also glad I'm not the only one out there who stresses over blogging ruts... shwew! :o)

...and I've got to say, as I re-read my post this morning, I couldn't help but worry that it might have come across as though I was fishing for a compliment. Certainly *not* the case, so I'm sorry if anyone took me that way.
