You should have heard the lift in his voice when he called yesterday. It was pure, uninterrupted happiness and pride. It made me smile.
When I missed Ryan's call the first time around, he called my mom at work. I get the feeling he just *needed* to tell someone his news. You know those moments, right? Where you just have to talk about it?
As it turns out, my darling hubbs has been asked to fly to Reno with his company to set up a new location. He'll be gone for a week, and while he's there, he'll have the chance to 'rub elbows' with the higher ups--and put faces to names.
He'll also be spoiled, the lucky guy!! Dinners out, and paid for! Lunches too. Hotel maid service--a freshly made bed to crawl into at the end of his long days... bliss, I tell you. Bliss. Well--minus the hard work and that whole hundreds of miles from home thing. Because, c'mon, who wouldn't miss this face?? (I'm only kidding on that last part.)
Anyway, all this to brag about Ryan a little bit. He does so much for our little family, and I don't think I'll ever be able to thank him enough.
Opportunities like this must make him feel so proud!
P.S., what in the heck am I gonna do without him here for a whole week???
