Baby Wiggles...

It's too early for this preggie blogger to be awake. I've been up since about 5:30 this morning, and just can't see to coax myself back to sleep. Yet. Believe me, I WILL try again--you don't want to see what I turn into when I haven't had enough sleep. It's beastly, really.

But anyway, laying in bed this morning while Ryan got ready for work, I let out a big sigh. Ryan turned to me, "what's wrong?" he asked... to which I replied, "he's awake..." meaning this little booger in my belly. Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted every time he moves and wiggles in there, but he's developing a bad habit of moving late into the night--make my whole body shake movements, I might add--and starting up again very early in the morning.

Last weekend, Ryan had a chat with him via my belly button. It went something along the lines of, "this is your daddy, and I want you to hold still so your mommy can go back to sleep... otherwise, you're grounded when you come out." Oddly enough, his movements were stifled after that, and a bit twitchy... as if he were TRYING not to move too much... lol!! It was a funny coincidence.

So the point of my stories? This morning when I said he was awake, Ryan chuckled and said, "get used to it!" and he's got a point. I mean, duh! I'd better get used to it... but do you have any idea just how soon he's going to be OUT? ...and how soon his wiggles won't interrupt just my sleep...? It's a pretty overwhelming feeling, I've got to admit. I don't want to take even one bit of it for granted, as we've worked long and hard for this little guy of ours, but wow. It's happening. For real. and soon.

Hahahahahaha...If you would like a two year old, and a 9 day old to practice with, let us know. But seriously, after last night, they are yours.

Are you sure it dosen't have something to do with a Jacob sized piece of pudding???

Aww he is preparing for when he arrives, he is probably saying: "Let me wiggle a bit so I can start training mommy" lol

I hope you had some sleep =)

Soon his wiggles won't keep you awake - his crying will! Last weekend at my Bloogy Meetup the baby in the next room woke me up in the middle of the night. I was standing up in the hotel room looking for him before I woke up enough to realize it was not my baby! You would think those auto-habits would be gone since youngest son is 12!!!!!!

No wonder he's wiggling around. He heard about the cloth diapers. *giggling*

aw yes, this is only the beginning! :) you will soon wish that he were back in your tummy wiggling so at least you could still lie in bed and "rest" instead of having to physically be out of bed feeding him, entertaining him, rocking him, etc. LOL! But seriously it will be fine because you do what you have to do to make sure your baby is happy and you will WANT to help him. And you could be lucky like us and have him only get up once (or twice, on RARE occassions, until he's only 9 weeks old when he decides to start sleeping for about 7 hours straight, get up for about 15 minutes to fill his belly again and then go back to sleep for another few hours! :) Anyway, yes, get used to it but you will make it through it and your body will adjust, believe it or not. :)
